Signed out of the Dominican Republic as an international free agent in January 2024, Brito is emerging as one of the Rockies’ top prospects, earning a spot in the 2026 Futures Game. The 19-year-old switch-hitter has excelled at Single-A Fresno this season, slashing .327/.390/.506 with 36 extra-base hits, including eight home runs through 79 games.
Listed at 5-foot-11 and 183 pounds, Brito is a twitchy, explosive athlete with a strong fundamental base and a mature all-fields approach. At the plate, he stays inside the baseball well, consistently using the entire field while flashing sneaky power that projects to continue developing as he matures physically. A plus runner, Brito can also impact the game with his speed, though his basestealing technique remains a work in progress and should improve with experience.
Defensively, Brito has split time between second base and center field, flashing Gold Glove potential at both positions. With his combination of athleticism, baseball IQ, defensive versatility, and offensive upside, Brito projects as a dynamic everyday player capable of setting the table atop a lineup while providing plus defense, speed, and impact on both sides of the ball.
